About Gavin Miller
When Gavin Miller was a teenager, the high school honor student and All-District athlete dreamed of playing college and pro baseball. But, one mistake shattered his dreams and left him permanently paralyzed.

Doctors said he would never again be independent or move or feel anything below his neck. But, Gavin proved them wrong!

He missed three months of his junior year undergoing physical therapy at Children's Hospital of New Orleans, and he still managed to graduate high school with an A average and graduate college with a Bachelors degree. He regained movement in his upper body, feeling all over his body and total independence.

But, the tragedy changed Gavin. It made him realize that life is about making a difference.

The Actor - Filmmaker
When Gavin graduated from college, he moved to Dallas and was accepted into the acclaimed KD Studio Actors Conservatory. Gavin has acted in 33 productions, with major roles in 29. Two of his powerful drunk driving prevention TV commercials -- which he wrote, produced and starred in -- earned American Advertising Awards.

His 2004 short film PARALYZED AT 17 -- which he wrote, produced, directed, edited and starred in -- won the Documentary Semi-Finalist Award at the Action/Cut Short Film Competition in Hollywood.

In 2006 Gavin directed, produced and edited the feature documentary HURRICANE KATRINA THROUGH THE EYES OF THE CHILDREN, and that same year he wrote, produced, directed, edited and starred in the narrative feature film FALSE HOPE, which gives hope and restores faith to those who have suffered a terrible tragedy like losing a child. The Professional Speaker
Since 1990, Gavin has written and keynoted over 400 speeches to over 250,000 kids and adults across the United States, which earned him Professional Membership in the National Speakers Association. He has shared the stage with then-U.S. Surgeon General Antonia Novello and then-U.S. Secretary of Transportation Andrew Card, and he has even shared the TV screen with then-President Clinton.

Gavin's testimony saves people's lives by protecting them from making tragic mistakes, inspiring them to live a life of integrity, and giving them hope by showing how God can bring them through any adversity. His speeches truly make a difference in their lives, as evidenced by the inspiring words of encouragement from those who've heard him speak.

In 2004, Gavin turned his testimony into a 30-minute film called PARALYZED AT 17, which is now shown in schools across the USA.
